Tahiirah Habibi Sommelier, Cultural Architect, & Founder Tahiirah Habibi has spent over fifteen years reshaping global wine and luxury hospitality. From opening the landmark St. Regis Bal Harbour in 2012 to founding The Hue Society, Tahiirah has consistently challenged Eurocentric standards in fine dining. With High Taste, she synthesizes her deep sommelier expertise and high-fashion aesthetic into an archival platform for Black excellence.
Tahiirah Habibi is an award-recognized sommelier, cultural strategist, and entrepreneur whose work has helped broaden access, representation, and cultural relevance within the wine industry. She is a James Beard Foundation contributor, a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, founder of Wine & Culture Fest, and the first Black woman featured on the cover of Wine Enthusiast. Her work and perspective have also been featured in Vogue and Robb Report.
Through large-scale festivals, sold-out wine dinners, educational programming, and partnerships with luxury hotels, global brands, and hospitality groups, Tahiirah creates experiences that make wine feel more inclusive, culturally fluent, and approachable.
Her work is grounded in equity, access, and cultural truth, with a focus on creating spaces where people who have historically been overlooked can engage with wine while honoring their identity, culture, and joy.
