PREORDER TERMS

Effective Date: October 2, 2026

These Preorder Terms apply to products identified as preorders and purchased directly through www.thehightaste.com from The High Taste (“High Taste,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms supplement our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

If a specific preorder page contains terms that differ from these general Preorder Terms, the more specific terms disclosed for that preorder control.

1. What a Preorder Is

A preorder is a purchase of a product before that product is ready for ordinary shipment.

By placing a preorder, you understand that the item is not available for immediate shipment and that fulfillment will occur later.

2. Haute Pairings Preorders

Haute Pairings may be offered through preorder before publication and final production are complete.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the full purchase price is charged when the preorder is placed.

The applicable product page will identify:

  • the edition;

  • price;

  • preorder status;

  • estimated fulfillment or shipment timing;

  • shipping treatment;

  • applicable taxes;

  • cancellation terms;

  • final-sale status; and

  • any edition-specific details.

3. Estimated Fulfillment

The estimated fulfillment or shipment period shown when you place your preorder is based on information reasonably available to High Taste at that time.

Publishing and production schedules may be affected by:

  • printing;

  • binding;

  • paper or materials;

  • manufacturing;

  • freight;

  • quality control;

  • suppliers;

  • packaging; or

  • other operational circumstances.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, an estimated fulfillment date or range is not a guaranteed delivery date.

High Taste will not intentionally publish a shipment estimate unless there is a reasonable basis for that estimate.

4. Delays

If High Taste becomes unable to ship a preorder within the timeframe promised when the order was placed, we will provide any notice, revised shipping estimate, consent request, cancellation option, or refund required by applicable law.

If High Taste determines that the product cannot be fulfilled, the affected order will be canceled and the customer will receive the refund required by law.

5. Preorder Cancellation

A Haute Pairings preorder may be canceled only before the applicable edition enters publication or final production.

Once the edition has entered publication or final production, the preorder becomes final sale and cannot be canceled for a change of mind.

Nothing in this section removes a cancellation or refund right that applicable law requires.

6. Full Payment at Preorder

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Haute Pairings preorders require full payment at the time the preorder is placed.

The purchase price secures the applicable edition for future fulfillment, subject to the terms of the offer.

7. Shipping Charges

Shipping is not included in the preorder price unless the applicable product page expressly states otherwise.

For Haute Pairings preorders, shipping charges are collected separately when the order is ready to ship.

Before shipment, High Taste may contact the customer to:

  • confirm the shipping address;

  • provide the applicable shipping charge;

  • collect properly disclosed shipping charges;

  • collect applicable taxes; and

  • obtain other information reasonably necessary to complete fulfillment.

Customers should not place a preorder unless they agree to this shipping structure.

8. Taxes

Applicable taxes may be collected at the time of preorder or at another clearly disclosed stage of fulfillment, depending on the transaction and applicable law.

Where tax is collected later, the amount may depend on the final shipping destination and other transaction information available at that time.

9. Shipping Destinations

High Taste currently ships only within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

High Taste does not currently ship:

  • internationally;

  • to U.S. territories;

  • to APO, FPO, or DPO addresses; or

  • to freight-forwarding addresses,

unless expressly approved in writing.

10. Address Confirmation

Because significant time may pass between preorder and shipment, High Taste may contact customers before fulfillment to confirm delivery information.

Customers are responsible for keeping their contact and shipping information current.

If your address changes before shipment, contact High Taste as soon as possible.

High Taste cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered final fulfillment or has been transferred to a carrier.

11. Founding Collector Edition

Where offered, the Founding Collector Edition of Haute Pairings is limited to 300 numbered copies.

The applicable product page controls regarding exact inclusions, edition details, packaging, and any other collector features.

Purchasing the Founding Collector Edition does not guarantee:

  • future resale value;

  • investment value;

  • appreciation;

  • secondary-market demand; or

  • future scarcity.

The edition is sold as a consumer product and cultural work, not as a financial investment.

12. Numbering and Edition Details

Where an edition is described as numbered, limited, collector, or founding, the applicable representation will reflect the product actually offered.

High Taste may determine the sequence or allocation of individual copy numbers unless a specific number has been expressly guaranteed in writing.

A purchaser is not entitled to a particular number unless the applicable offer expressly states otherwise.

13. Product Images and Production Variations

Product photographs, mockups, renderings, prototypes, and samples may represent the intended product but may not reflect every characteristic of the final production item.

Reasonable production variations may occur in areas such as:

  • color;

  • paper;

  • printing;

  • binding;

  • materials;

  • dimensions;

  • packaging; or

  • other nonessential production details.

High Taste will not intentionally substitute a materially different core product or materially reduce specifically promised features without appropriate notice and any remedy required by law.

14. Final Sale

Once the applicable preorder cancellation period has ended, Haute Pairings preorders are final sale.

Final-sale status applies to:

  • standard editions;

  • collector editions;

  • numbered editions;

  • limited editions; and

  • other Haute Pairings physical editions,

unless High Taste expressly states otherwise.

Final sale means the product is not returnable or refundable for:

  • change of mind;

  • buyer’s remorse;

  • personal preference;

  • failure to use the product; or

  • similar discretionary reasons.

15. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products

Final-sale status does not eliminate applicable remedies for products that arrive:

  • damaged;

  • defective;

  • incorrect; or

  • materially different from what was ordered.

Customers should report such issues within 72 hours after delivery.

Please provide:

  • your name;

  • order number;

  • description of the issue; and

  • photographs of the item and packaging where reasonably useful.

High Taste may provide a replacement, refund, or other remedy as appropriate and legally required.

The 72-hour reporting period does not eliminate rights that applicable law does not permit us to restrict.

16. Cancellation by High Taste

High Taste may cancel a preorder if:

  • the edition cannot reasonably be produced;

  • required materials or production capacity become unavailable;

  • a material pricing or listing error occurred;

  • fulfillment becomes unlawful;

  • fraud or unauthorized payment is reasonably suspected; or

  • another circumstance makes fulfillment impracticable.

If High Taste cancels a paid preorder, the customer will receive the refund required by applicable law.

17. Third-Party Production and Fulfillment

High Taste may use independent printers, manufacturers, binders, fulfillment providers, carriers, and other service providers to produce or deliver Haute Pairings.

Use of third-party providers does not eliminate High Taste’s obligations under the applicable purchase terms and law.

18. Order Communications

High Taste may contact preorder customers regarding:

  • production updates;

  • fulfillment timing;

  • delays;

  • address confirmation;

  • shipping charges;

  • taxes;

  • order problems;

  • cancellation options;

  • refunds; or

  • other information reasonably necessary to complete the order.

These communications are transactional and may be sent even if the customer has opted out of unrelated marketing communications.

19. Purchases Through Other E-Commerce Platforms

Haute Pairings may also be offered through independent e-commerce platforms or retailers.

A preorder placed through another platform may be subject to that platform’s checkout, payment, support, and refund procedures in addition to applicable High Taste product terms.

Customers should follow the support process associated with the platform through which the preorder was placed where necessary.

20. No Guarantee of Resale or Investment Value

Haute Pairings editions, including numbered and collector editions, are not offered as investments.

High Taste does not guarantee:

  • future resale value;

  • appreciation;

  • market demand;

  • collectibility;

  • scarcity in secondary markets; or

  • financial return.

21. Governing Law

These Preorder Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

23. Changes to These Terms

High Taste may update these Preorder Terms prospectively.

The terms applicable to an existing preorder will generally be the terms presented when that preorder was placed, together with any product-specific disclosures accepted as part of the transaction.
