RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
This Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made directly through www.thehightaste.com and operated by The High Taste (“High Taste,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Different products, editions, preorders, events, and experiences may have different terms. Where specific terms are shown on a product page, event page, checkout page, or other purchase flow, those specific terms form part of the purchase and control for that offering.
Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
1. Haute Pairings
All Haute Pairings purchases are final sale, including:
standard editions;
collector editions;
numbered editions;
limited editions; and
preorders after the applicable cancellation period has ended.
Final-sale products are not returnable or refundable for:
change of mind;
buyer’s remorse;
personal preference;
failure to use the product; or
similar discretionary reasons.
Final-sale status does not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived, including applicable remedies for products that are:
not delivered;
damaged in transit;
defective;
incorrect; or
materially different from what was ordered.
2. Haute Pairings Preorder Cancellation
A Haute Pairings preorder may be canceled only before the applicable edition enters publication or final production.
Once an edition has entered publication or final production, the order becomes final sale and can no longer be canceled for a change of mind.
If High Taste cancels an edition or determines that the preorder cannot be fulfilled, the customer will receive the refund required by applicable law.
If fulfillment is delayed beyond the timeframe promised at purchase, High Taste will provide any delay notice, consent request, cancellation option, or refund required by applicable law.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products
If a physical product arrives damaged, defective, or materially incorrect, contact High Taste within 72 hours after delivery.
Please include:
your name;
order number;
description of the issue; and
photographs of the product and packaging where reasonably useful.
High Taste may request additional reasonable documentation needed to review the claim.
Where appropriate, High Taste may provide:
a replacement;
a refund; or
another remedy required by applicable law.
The 72-hour reporting period does not eliminate rights that applicable law does not permit us to restrict.
4. Non-Delivery
If an order is not delivered or cannot be fulfilled, High Taste will provide the remedy required under the applicable purchase terms and law.
Where a customer is legally entitled to cancel an unfulfilled merchandise order, High Taste will provide the required refund rather than substituting store credit unless the customer separately agrees otherwise.
5. Shipping Charges
Shipping is not included in Haute Pairings preorder pricing unless the applicable product page expressly states otherwise.
For preorders, shipping charges are collected separately when the product is ready to ship.
Applicable taxes may also be collected at that stage where appropriate and permitted.
Once properly incurred, shipping charges are generally nonrefundable except where:
High Taste cancels the order;
the customer is legally entitled to a full refund;
High Taste shipped an incorrect product; or
applicable law requires otherwise.
6. Event Tickets
Unless High Taste expressly states otherwise for a particular event, all High Taste event ticket sales are final and nonrefundable.
A purchaser’s inability to attend does not create a right to a refund.
This includes circumstances such as:
schedule conflicts;
travel issues;
illness;
change of plans; or
failure to attend.
Nothing in this section eliminates rights that applicable law does not permit us to waive.
7. Ticket Transfers
High Taste event tickets may be transferred to another eligible attendee unless the applicable event page states otherwise.
The replacement attendee must satisfy all applicable event requirements, including any 21+ age requirement.
High Taste may require updated attendee information before the transfer is recognized.
A ticket transfer does not create a refund right.
8. Event Cancellation by High Taste
If High Taste cancels an event and does not reschedule it, ticket holders will receive the remedy required under the applicable purchase terms and law.
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, High Taste will communicate the new date and any available attendance, transfer, credit, or other options.
9. Event Changes
Changes to:
chefs;
wineries;
wines;
menus;
performers;
speakers;
venues;
sponsors;
collaborating brands;
schedules; or
other individual event elements
do not automatically constitute cancellation of the event and do not automatically create a refund right.
10. Weather and Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control
Events may be modified, delayed, relocated, postponed, or canceled because of circumstances outside High Taste’s reasonable control, including:
severe weather;
natural disasters;
governmental action;
public-safety concerns;
venue emergencies;
transportation disruption;
labor disruption;
public-health conditions; or
other similar circumstances.
Any refund, credit, transfer, or rescheduling option will be handled according to the applicable event terms and law.
11. Removal for Misconduct
An attendee who is refused admission or removed because of:
threats;
violence;
harassment;
discriminatory abuse;
severe disruption;
unsafe intoxication;
unlawful conduct; or
refusal to follow reasonable safety or venue instructions
is not automatically entitled to a refund.
12. Promotional Purchases
Promotional pricing, discount codes, bundles, launch offers, gifts with purchase, or other promotions may be subject to additional terms disclosed when the offer is made.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a promotional purchase remains subject to the same final-sale or cancellation rules applicable to the underlying product or event.
13. Purchases Through Other E-Commerce Platforms
Haute Pairings and other High Taste products may also be sold through third-party e-commerce platforms or retailers.
Purchases made through another platform may be subject to that platform’s:
refund procedures;
payment rules;
customer-service process; or
other checkout terms.
Where the platform controls the refund transaction, customers may need to request the refund or remedy through that platform.
High Taste product-specific final-sale and defect terms may still apply where incorporated into that purchase.
14. Refund Method
Where a refund is approved or legally required, it will generally be issued to the original payment method where reasonably available.
If the original payment method cannot be used, High Taste may arrange another lawful refund method.
Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional processing time after High Taste issues the refund.
15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge was made incorrectly, contact High Taste so we can attempt to resolve the issue.
Nothing in this Policy limits any lawful right to dispute a transaction with a financial institution or payment provider.
Knowingly submitting a false or fraudulent payment dispute may violate applicable law or payment-provider rules.
16. How to Request Assistance
For a damaged, defective, incorrect, canceled, or otherwise eligible order issue, contact:
The High Taste
Website: www.thehightaste.com
Legal: legal [at] thehightaste [dot] com
General: site [at] thehightaste [dot] com
Include your order number, ticket information, or other details reasonably necessary to identify the transaction.
17. Changes to This Policy
High Taste may update this Policy prospectively.
The terms applicable to a completed transaction will generally be the terms presented when the purchase was made, together with any product-specific or event-specific terms accepted as part of that transaction.
